Roman Catholic and their teachings versus the “BIBLE”

1.)The use of  Wooden/Stone Statues as a form of praising god –

Catholics use Statues and Images for worshiping god

Catholics use graven images and molded Statues to worship god. This exercise of faith contradicts the “BIBLE” why? Open your own bible and read Exodus 20: 4, 5.

⁴ “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. ⁵ You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.  – Exodus 20: 4, 5

Psalm 115:4-6  also says:

Their idols are silver and gold,
The work of the hands of earthling man.

5 A mouth they have, but they cannot speak;
Eyes they have, but they cannot see;

6 Ears they have, but they cannot hear.
A nose they have, but they cannot smell.

Graven Images are Idol which have Ears but they cannot hear.” The point is clear. Why pray to a god who will never hear you?

Conclusion: Don’t make any Image of anything representing God because he strongly told us not to do Graven Images and this commandment is pass to the fourth generation which means until now we must follow it, BUT the Catholics uses Graven Images and Statues. Using crucifix (man-made tool) is a sin.

2.) The Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit are one – “Trinity”

“The Father, The Son (Jesus-Christ) and The Holy Spirit are one” is the strongest Roman Catholic Doctrine that contradicts the Bible.

Jesus-Christ is the Son of God and our Savior. – Romans 8:2. Jesus always pray to his father, one evidence is recorded at Luke 6:12, 13 which says: ” In the progress of these days he went out into the mountain to pray, and he continued the whole night in prayer to God. 13 But when it became day he called his disciples to him and chose from among them twelve, whom he also named apostles 

Jesus Christ prays at the Mountain to God not to Himself

Jesus also says that he was delivered by his Father. Jesus reveals how Jehovah feels about those who turn to him in prayer. (Luke 10:22)  All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and who the Son is no one knows but the Father; and who the Father is, no one [knows] but the Son, and he to whom the Son is willing to reveal him.”

Jesus talks to his Father, GOD at John 17: 25,26 –  “Righteous Father, the world has, indeed, not come to know you; but I have come to know you, and these have come to know that you sent me forth. 26 And I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.”

A strong Bible reference that Jesus and his father are different is stated in John 17:3 “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ”  –Based on this scriptural text, the Only True God sent Jesus Christ, not himself.

Another strong reference that Jesus and his Father are not one is recorded at John 20:17 when he warns a woman not to cling to him, Jesus said:

“Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’ 

If you will Use your Common-sense thought by your parents that the Father is superior than his Son. John 20:17 says that Jesus was on earth and will ascend to the heavens to meet his Father which is our God.

Conclusion: Jesus prays to his father, Our God not to himself nor he said “I’m God”. People or religious leaders may say Jesus is Humble that he didn’t ask to praise him as God, but the Bible says that The Father and the Son are different, Father is superior than his son.  There are lots of Bible reference that Jesus has a Father, God.

 3.) Calling Catholic Priest as “FATHER”

Catholics are calling their Priests as “FATHER”,Pope, “SANTO PAPA”. Catholics disobey the BIBLE by calling their priest “Father.”  Only God is to be reverenced by such a title.  The Pope is NOT the “vicar” of God, but rather a false prophet who confuses millions which Who will partake or Share with her Plagues (Revelation 18:4). 

Matthew 23:9 forbids calling any man on earth your “Father”:

“Moreover, do not call anyone YOUR father on earth, for one is YOUR Father, the heavenly One.”

Conclusion: Does the Roman Catholic read the Bible? I guess Yes but skipped this doctrine and made their own when a Pope said that the best way to know what’s right on all matters of faith and morals is to just “listen to the Pope.”

4.) The use of “ROSARY” – “Pray the Rosary”

Rosary is a traditional Catholic devotion. The term denotes the prayer beads used to count the series of prayers that make up the rosary. Rosary beads are basically hand-made Graven image. Some Catholics kneels before an image of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and prays while holding a string of rosary beads. The Rosary, or prayer beads was introduced by Peter the Hermit, in the year 1090. Copied from Hindus and Mohammedans

The Rosary is a vain repetitive prayer – Do you agree? Catholic Priest asks you to MEMORIZE it and it is best if you have rosary beads.

(Matthew 6:7) “But when praying, do not say the same things over and over again, just as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words”

Catholic Priest commended you To Memorize the ROSARY, It perfectly fits Matthew 15:9 which says –  “It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.’”  

(John 4:24) God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.” –

Conclusion:  If you want to Worship God, don’t use “Rosary beads, Graven Images, Statues and Vain Repetitive Prayer” which are practiced by the Catholics and encouraged by their Priest to Continue doing it.

5.) Catholics introduced and practice lots of “TRADITIONS” made by themselves, commandments of men NOT from GOD.

Colossians 2:8 – “Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry YOU off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ” 

Apostle Paul resisted the pressure to assimilate either Greek philosophy or erroneous traditions into his teaching because he wants to please God and be clean from traditions of men.

(Matthew 15:6) He must not honor his father at all.’ And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition.

Conclusion – Roman Catholics are full of “UN-BIBLICAL” traditions which seems “Nice to practice or believe” but remember Satan wants people to be caught to this traditions so people who practices it will share with his plague. Satan is always mentioned in the Bible as being a liar and a deceiver.

6.) Catholic Priests associates with the Government of Men.

Conclusion: Catholics partakes, Associates, supports the Government of Men. Catholic Priest prays for the Soldiers “Safety”, this means they are asking to Kill the Soldier’s ENEMY in order him to live. Make sense? They skipped again the Jesus’s teaching and  followed their own.

7.) Doctrine of Purgatory – The bible did not mentioned any PURGATORY…  This MAN-MADE doctrine was proclaimed in 1439

Why not examine the subject of “Christmas” in an encyclopedia? It likely will show the origin of Christmas, and how the date December 25 was chosen as Jesus’ birthday. These Times, an Adventist publication, noted: “For some time before the coming of Christianity, December 25 was a time of pagan celebration . . . Emperor Aurelian (A.D. 270-275) quickly capitalized upon the heathen worship of the sun and, in the year A.D. 274, officially declared December 25 as the birthday of the Unconquered Sun . . . In A.D. 354, two years following the end of Saint Julius’ reign, the new Roman bishop, Liberius, ordered all his people to celebrate December 25 as the correct day of Christ’s birth.”
Yes, December 25 was adopted as Jesus’ birthday from pagan celebrations, as U.S. Catholic explains: “The Romans’ favorite festival was Saturnalia, which began on December 17 and ended with the ‘birthday of the unconquered sun’ (Natalis solis invicti) on December 25. Somewhere in the second quarter of the fourth century, savvy officials of the church of Rome decided December 25 would make a dandy day to celebrate the birthday of the ‘sun of righteousness.’ Christmas was born.” The article continues: “It is impossible to separate Christmas from its pagan origins.”
When learning these facts about Christmas, how have some been affected? The World Book Encyclopedia observed under “Christmas”: “During the 1600’s, because of these feelings, Christmas was outlawed in England and in parts of the English colonies in America.”
It should not be surprising, therefore, that informed Christians today do not celebrate Christmas.

We ask God’s guidance, forgiveness and say Thanks to his blessings but does it mean we need to do that in-front of an Image of him? Let the Bible Help us answer this question, Get your Bible and read “Exodus 20: 4, 5” which says:  ⁴ “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. ⁵ You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.

Leviticus 19: 4 says: “Do not turn to idols or make molten gods for yourselves. I am the Jehovah your God”.

Leviticus 26:1 says” Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am your Lord your God.

Conclusion: It’s very clear not to use idols which are referred as image of god and turn them as a tool for worshiping god.

Isaiah 42:8 says: “I am the Jehovah; that is my name!   I will not yield my glory to another  or my praise to idols

Conclusion: Another Bible reference commanding us not to use idols to praise God, because idols can’t match his glory as they are only stones or wood graven by people.

This next Bible Text  is one of the most reliable Bible reference telling us not to use images for worshiping god as it is called by the Bible as Idolatry. Read Psalms 115: 4-8 which says:

   made by human hands. 
⁵ They have mouths, but cannot speak, 
   eyes, but cannot see. 
⁶ They have ears, but cannot hear,

Conclusion: Idols are images that have eyes but can’t see, ears but can’t hear, hands but can’t feel, feet but can’t walk nor utter sounds with their throats, Who makes it and owns it shall be like them.

Let’s go back one verse: Psalm 115: 3: says: Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

Conclusion: No one can compare him using Graved Woods or Stones.

The Truth revealed About Images, Statues of Jesus

There still more Bible Chapter and verses commanding us not to use Idols, but the scary part is the Psalms 115:8 , Who make and uses Graven Image will be like them. Now it’s really up to you if you will continue using images for praising god but we shared four(4) Bible references tells us not to. You Can’t be called Christian if you abide one commandment of God. Your efforts are useless if you still follow  false beliefs as God wants a purified sacrifice for him.

Some 1.2 billion of their  members still persist that they are doing the right thing when it comes with Graven Images even it is crystal clear that God does not want us to ‘use’ graven images and idols. Read these passages:

(Exodus. 20:4–5 The Holy Bible—New International Version)““You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 5. You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me”

(Isaiah 42:8 web) “I am YHWH. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory, neither my praise to graven images.”

(1 John 5:21 NAB) “Little children, guard yourselves from idols.”

They keep defending that Graven Image is not Idolatry

(Leviticus 26:1 American Standard Version) “Ye shall make you no idols, neither shall ye rear you up a graven image, or a pillar, neither shall ye place any figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am Jehovah your God”

(Leviticus 26:1 web version) “”‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, neither shall you raise up an engraved image or a pillar, neither shall you place any figured stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am Yahweh your God.”

See how Leviticus 26:1 compared Idols to engraved images, pillar or any figured stone to BOW DOWN unto it.

See how Psalm 115:4-8 states that Idols are made by hands (engraved,curving,graven) of earthling man. Those making them will become just like them and All those who are trusting in them. Psalm 115:4-8 is also a core reference “WHY A TRUE CHRISTIANS MUST NOT DO GRAVEN IMAGES MADE BY HANDS nor Use them.

Those making them will become just like them, All those who are trusting in them.

( Jeremiah 10:14, 15 ESV) Every man is stupid and without knowledge;  every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them.

 

Their Hypothetical and Misleading reasoning with the Biblical Scripture

They strongly use (Ezekiel 41:17-18) “Even carved cherubs and palm-tree figures, with a palm-tree figure between a cherub and a cherub, and the cherub had two faces” as their foundation why they are using images.

Yes it is true that Ezekiel envisioned the creation of carved cherubs, Mosses made the ‘Arc of the Covenant’ according to God’s patter and design. Later on, Solomon prepared a temple for it to rest. True, it is one of most important handmade craft of its time but what is the purpose of the Arc?

Purpose of the Arc of Covenant

1.) Storage of the Two Tablets of Stone – (Deuteronomy 10:1-5) Verse 5 says “Then I turned and went down from the mountain and placed the tablets in the ark that I had made, that they might continue there, just as Jehovah had commanded me.”

2.) Serve as a Testimony – (Exodus 25:16) “And you must place in the Ark the testimony that I shall give you.” It will serve as an important vessel/storage of the “Ten Commandments”

(Exodus 16:32-34) A “golden jar having the manna and the rod of Aaron that budded” were added to the Ark and verse 34 says: “Just as Jehovah had commanded Moses, Aaron proceeded to deposit it before the Testimony”

3.)Associated with God’s presence -(Exodus 25:22) God spoke to Mosses: “And I will present myself to you there and speak with you from above the cover, from between the two cherubs that are upon the ark of the testimony, even all that I shall command you for the sons of Israel” The Arc of the Covenant reminds the Israelites that God is still watching for them.

4.) Only high priest can see the Arc of the Covenant (Leviticus 16:17) ““And no other man should happen to be in the tent of meeting from when he goes in to make atonement in the holy place until he comes out; and he must make atonement in behalf of himself and in behalf of his house and in behalf of the entire congregation of Israel”

QUESTION: Where in the Bible that says, They (Mosses-Aaron-David and King Solomon) must worship and bow on the Arc of the Covenant?

ANSWER: None, instead Exodus. 20:4–5, Isaiah 42:8, Leviticus 26:1 and lots more was written to warn people not to use and make graven images by themselves. Please remember that God ordered only Mosses-King Solomon to curve images. What is the scriptural basis?

Did God asked us to stop remembering the “Arc of the Covenant”?

(Jeremiah 3:16 nwt) “And it must occur that YOU will become many and certainly bear fruit in the land in those days,” is the utterance of Jehovah. “No more will they say, ‘The ark of the covenant of Jehovah!’ nor will it come up into the heart, nor will they remember it or miss it, and no more will it be made.

Question : Why they still reasoning out using the “Arc of the Covenant” as proof that God once used image when God himself told Jeremiah to “stop” remembering, speak and make it.?

ANSWER: They reverted the meaning of NO (stop remembering) and made it YES (let’s us remember).

The Religious Use of Images as an aid for their faith

They use statues, paintings, and other artistic devices to recall the person or thing depicted. Just as it helps to remember one’s mother by looking at her photograph, so it helps to recall the example of the saints by looking at pictures of them.

They use a misleading and out of way scripture (Numbers. 21:8–9) It is when God ordered Mosses to make a serpent of copper. They forgot what the “serpent” represents in the Bible. (Genesis 3:14 nlt) God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all animals, domestic and wild. You will crawl on your belly, groveling in the dust as long as you live.

Numbers 21:9 Itself tells that the serpent had bitten a man. Their scriptural foundation is clearly a negative(bad) presentation.

Later on, the copper serpent was labelled “The Copper Serpent-Idol” (2 Kings 18:4)The Israelites kept the copper serpent and later improperly began to worship it, making sacrificial smoke to it. Hence, as part of his religious reforms . First, they use Mosses illustration on why they believe that God permits graven images but does not thoroughly understand 2 Kings 18:4. They don’t want to digest and accept 2 Kings 18:4 but instead, they only want to ‘focus’ with Numbers 21:9 “Mosses made a copper serpent. That is really funny.

They also use King Solomon’s graven angels as a reference. What about Colossians 2:18 – “Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.”
QUESTION: Did they read Exodus. 20:4–5, Isaiah 42:8, Leviticus 26:1 ,Colossians 2:18 and other scriptures that its against God’s Will to make or use Graven images?

ANSWER: Maybe yes, but does not want to accept just like the “Israelites”.

QUESTION: If they are claiming that God does not forbid the ritual case of religious images, Why did God ordered Judean King Hezekiah to crush the serpent?

ANSWER: God forbids RITUAL USE of RELIGIOUS IMAGES based on scriptural reference. (This is very clear that their reasoning is misleading)

Will it help them to worship the True God using Images/Idols?

John 4:23-24 NIV – “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” A true follower must worship the Father in spiritual way and truth not relying on what they see.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – “For we live by faith, not by sight.”  – They reason out that they only use Images as an “VISUAL AID”, now what?

Isaiah 40:18 – “With whom, then, will you compare God?  To what image will you liken him?

Isaiah 42:8 Jb – “My name is Yahweh,  I will not yield my glory to another  or my praise to idols.
